Talem Franco, a graduate student-athlete at Brigham Young, took second in the men's invitational 1,500 meters in a personal-best 3:37.55 at the Fresno State West Coast Relays at Veterans Memorial Stadium at Buchanan High in Clovis, Calif. Franco was the top collegiate competitor in the race behind adidas professional athlete Sam Prakel, who won in 3:36.86.
