Abdihamid Nur, a sophomore at Northern Arizona, won the men's 10,000 meters in a program-record 27:47.27 at the Fresno State West Coast Relays at Veterans Memorial Stadium at Buchanan High in Clovis, Calif. Nur eclipsed the 2016 Lumberjacks' mark of 27:52.70 achieved by Futsum Zienasellassie at the Payton Jordan Invitational to take over the collegiate lead this year and elevate to the No. 8 competitor in the world this season. Nur ranks No. 17 all-time in NCAA history, Zienasellassie is No. 20 and runner-up Blaise Ferro (27:56.30) is No. 23 for Northern Arizona.
