Colton Johnsen, a junior at Washington State, won the men's invitational 3,000-meter steeplechase in a personal-best 8:42.80 at the Fresno State West Coast Relays at Veterans Memorial Stadium at Buchanan High in Clovis, Calif. Johnsen improved from his previous-best 8:43.43 at an April 21 dual meet against Washington, ascending to the No. 4 collegiate competitor this season.
